YSL SHOP COACH DOUBLES CONVERSION RATE

Your Style Lab originated three years ago as an online personal shopping platform enabling customers to create personalised style profiles and share with their chosen personal shopper to assist them in finding the perfect outfit.

One of the main motivations in deciding to create Your Style Lab was to reduce the friction & frustration for online shoppers, such as insecurities about fit or style. Functional filters are not always enough to give online shoppers the appropriate information or advice and make them feel confident about the clothes that both suit and fit them.

Instead of sending out a ‘box full of clothes’, Your Style Lab fills digital dressing rooms with items, and adds individualised style advice on why these items are right for the shopper, leaving the shopper to purchase directly from their chosen online store.

Some of the results have been beyond our expectations.

We found that the traffic generated to one of the biggest multi-brand stores online in Europe converts over 4%, and that more than 70% of all orders via Your Style Lab are fully kept. The majority of online fashion retailers have a conversion rate of 2% or under, so we were able to double this most important KPI. 

This led us to create our white label B2C service online fashion retailers: YSL Shop Coach. As we firmly believe that online shopping could and should be more personal on all online fashion retailers websites.

Adding this service to an e-commerce site WILL increase conversion rates. Moreover, the consumer data collected during the Shop Coach sessions enables us to enrich customer profiles, which offers opportunities for more relevant engagement and further optimisation of the consumer journey.
